  1. Digital Platforms: Major platforms enable most digital interactions via browsers or apps.

Example:

  • Social platforms: Facebook™, Instagram™, Twitter™, LinkedIn™
  • Search and video platforms: Google™, YouTube™
  • Ecosystems: Apple™, Amazon™, Microsoft™
  1. Digital Media: Communication channels used to reach and engage audiences.

Example: Advertising, Email and messaging, Search engines, Social networks

  1. Digital Data: Data collected by businesses includes audience profiles and interaction records. Increasingly regulated by law to ensure privacy and protection.
  2. Digital Technology: Marketing technology (martech) creates interactive experiences.

Example: Websites and mobile apps, In-store kiosks, Email campaigns
